2008 RUTH ETRENNE
Ruth has found academic success while maintaining a job, participating in extracurricular activities, and volunteering. For the past thew years Ruth has held a job year-round. Her contributions to ETHS have been as a member of the ETHS Track and Field team, the Book Club, the NAACP, and the Vocal Jazz and Chamber Singers. Ruth is an active member of her church and has used her musical talents there. Ruth's given spirt explains her participation in community projects such as Relay for Life, soup kitchens, and canned food drives. Ruth has maintained this high level of involvement without comprising her pursuit of academic excellence. She values education and works tirelessly towards success. Ruth will continue her success at Loyola University of Chicago where she plans to major in Journalism.2008 MORIAH GREEN
Moriah is a very intelligent, hard-working, and talented young woman. She has a passion for challenging herself in new ways, through singing, performing on stage and being honest and self-reflective. Moriah has an incredible work ethic and has consistently maintained above a "B" average while also remaining diligent in her efforts to take on more rigorous courses. She has received numerous departmental awards in recognition of academic excellence. Moriah has also been a member of the Freshman, Sophomore, and National Honor Societies. Outside of the classroom, Moriah is very involved in the school community through various student activities, clubs, and committees. Moriah also finds time to volunteer in the community. One of Moriah's proudest accomplishments was landing a coveted spot in her first stage production, the ETHS adaptation of "West Side Story." For the past four years Moriah has performed with the Evanston Township High School Choir and taken voice lessons. Moriah will pursue her education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. 2008 ERIC RIMPEL
Eric is a talented scholar athlete who balanced academic achievement inside the classroom with activities outside it as well. A member of both the Basketball and Track and Field teams, Eric also participated in the United Nations- UNIS conference. He secured an internship that sent him to Germany to study the hotel business and volunteered his time with various community organizations. Eric is pursuing his education at the University of Miami with a focus on Engineering.
